Pflueger makes long-awaited return to California

SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) - The Notre Dame men's basketball team is coming off of a loss 85-80 to Oklahoma on Tuesday night.

They'll try to get back in the win column tomorrow night against UCLA.

But perhaps no one is more excited for the game than captain Rex Pflueger.

The guard grew up just over an hour away from Los Angeles and is excited to be playing ball in his home state against a tough UCLA team.

"I'm definitely excited to get back," Pflueger said. "Our furthest west game I've been in besides the Maui Invitational has been the University of Illinois so we really don't get out west much so to be able to go back and so close to home is so special. Not only to me but my family."

Pflueger and the Irish tip off tomorrow night against UCLA at 10:30 PM.
