Notre Dame returned to the practice field Tuesday for the first time in nearly two weeks.
The Irish had a week off for spring break, and hadn't practiced since Thursday, March 7th.
But with less than a month to go till the Blue-Gold game on April 13th, they turned up the intensity at practice Tuesday, and Brian Kelly was pleased with how the team responded.
"We let them know deliberately that when we left [for spring break], that they were in a great spot physically." Kelly said. "Yesterday was meetings and weight training, and today we got after it. They handled the practice - a two-hour practice - quite well."
"We set a standard as to what the expectations are when you're away," Kelly added. "Get away, relax, enjoy yourself, but there are expectations as to what we do on spring break."
Notre Dame returns to practice on Thursday, while Wednesday, Labar will be filled with many former Irish stars returning to campus for Pro Day, hoping to impress NFL teams leading up to the Draft.
