Mishawaka seeks revenge against New Prairie

SOUTH BEND (WNDU) - Newscenter 16's spotlight game of the week is the matchup between New Prairie and Mishawaka.

These two teams met in the playoffs last year and it didn't go so well for the Cavemen.

"We've talked a lot about just the way New Prairie pushed us around last year," head coach Keith Kinder said. "They're a really good football team and they kinda bullied us last year. We've made a point to make that known to them that happened last year to these guys."

The Cougars dominated the Cavemen 42-21 to end Mishawaka's postseason run.

"It would mean a lot to get them back especially after the butt whooping last year," Cavemen senior safety CJ Fisher said. "

The Cavemen remember that day very well and hope to get revenge against New Prairie on Friday night.

"If we play every snap like it's our last, I think we have a chance," junior linebacker Derrick Dawson said. "We're not the biggest team obviously, but if we play with our hearts and play with each other I think we can come out with the win."
