Marian hoops star Jaden Ivey announced Wednesday that he has committed to play college basketball at Purdue. Ivey is a three-star prospect, and the first commitment in Purdue's 2020 recruiting class.
The junior guard also had scholarship offers from Notre Dame - where his mom, Niele Ivey, played and is also an assistant coach for the women's basketball team - and Butler. Indiana and Ohio State also showed interest.
The commitment comes just a few days after Purdue visited Ivey at his home on Monday, according to Rivals.
247 Sports has him ranked as the sixth-best player in the state in their composite rankings.
Ivey was named the NIC MVP last season, and broke Marian's single-season scoring record. He led the Knights to the sectional championship game, before losing to Culver Military Academies.
