SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) - The Irish men's basketball team should be getting a much needed boost Saturday against Boston College.
Head coach Mike Brey announced that he expects forward Juwan Durham will be able to play this weekend.
"Definitely adds a lot of length back in the front court," Irish forward John Mooney. "He is a great player. We need him. All of us, myself included, are extremely confident in him to go out and pick back up where he was [playing]."
Durham has been nursing an ankle injury and hasn't seen any action since the North Carolina game on January 15th.
Brey hopes Durham can give him 20 solid minutes off the bench...and give the Irish the boost they need.
"We had something brewing with him and then all of a sudden we got knocked back," Brey said. "[Durham] and Johnny [Mooney] playing together in high low stuff, certainly what he does for you defensively so one of the things on my mind is we just got to play him."
