TAMPA BAY (WNDU) - The majority of the Irish women’s basketball players are used to the glitz and glamour that comes with the Final Four considering Notre Dame has made it this far in the tournament 7 of the last 9 years…
But for this freshmen class, it is their first time playing under the bright lights of this national stage.
“There’s a lot of things affiliated with this moment as far as different emotions but it’s definitely been an exciting thus far and I hope it gets better," Irish guard Jordan Nixon said.
While the freshmen of this Notre Dame women’s basketball might have a limited role against UConn tomorrow night, they say they are pumped to be here and will be ready to go when called upon.
"It’s really really fun," Irish guard Abby Prohaska said. "I’m trying to take advantage of every minute of it. I’m gonna miss the seniors so much so I’m trying to soak up as much as I can with them. Just try and relax. Try to focus on executing the plan and coming in and performing my role and doing what I can to help the team.”
Prohaska also says that she loves this Final Four environment so much she hopes she can make it back here every single year
