Eddies glad to be playing this late in November

EDWARDSBURG, Mich. (WNDU) - Edwardsburg has been no short of dominant this season.

The Eddies are 12-0 and their smallest margin of victory this year was by 16 points against Vicksburg.

Edwardsburg has rolled through the competition this postseason and they are happy to be here.

The Eddies say fans remember the games in November and they want to make it back to the state championship for the second straight season.

"This year has been different because we have been working a lot harder to make sure we get to our end goal," Eddies running back Chase Sager said. "We really want to win the state championship."

"It feels great to be back here," Eddies running back Caden Goggins said. "After getting to the state championship last year that's what we've been looking to get for the whole year so it's feeling good."

"Any time when you are playing when it is snowing out, it's a good sign," Edwardsburg head football coach Kevin Bartz said. "Going back into the semi-finals against Grand Rapids Christian who beat us in the state finals. It's a great time to see them again."

The Eddies will play Grand Rapids Catholic Central in a rematch of last year's state championship with a trip to the 2018 state title game on the line. Kickoff is at 1 PM at Vicksburg High School.
