SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) - Irish head coach Mike Brey has harped about finding more consistent scoring and sophomore guard D.J. Harvey has stepped up his game so far in February.
In Notre Dame's latest win over Georgia Tech, Harvey recorded his second-straight double-digit point performance, something he hasn't done since January 5th.
He also tallied a career high eight rebounds against the Yellow Jackets.
Harvey believes he is playing the best ball of his Notre Dame career right now and hopes to keep it rolling for the remainder of the season.
"[I'm] just being more aggressive on the offensive end," Harvey said. "[I'm getting] assertive, letting it come to me not forcing it. Also, I'm just focusing on the little aspects of my game that get me in the flow of the game like rebounding and playing defense. The season is long with a lot of ups and downs so it's just how you persevere. I'm very confident through thick and thin I'm always going to believe in myself and my abilities. My confidence is sky high right now."
Harvey and the Irish play Virginia on Saturday at 2 PM.
