The Notre Dame men's basketball team knocked off Georgia Tech 69-59 on Sunday in one of the ugliest basketball games you will ever see.
But for an Irish team that is just 3-8 in conference play this season, any league win is cause for celebration.
Notre Dame went just 1-7 in January, but have now won two of their three games in the month of February.
Men's basketball coach Mike Brey hopes getting a couple wins will the team some confidence as they head towards the final stretch of the regular season.
"Any league win is great for any team in this league," Brey said. "For us, as we've had a January to remember again, I told them we're 2-1 in February, we talked about turning the page in February, we knew we had a shot in February with our schedule to do some things, and I like the fact that we don't play till Saturday. These guys can enjoy a day or two and then get back to work."
The Irish may have started the month well, but they've quite the test coming up. They next head down to Virginia to take on the fourth-ranked Cavaliers. The Irish suffered one of their most embarrassing losses of the season when they hosted UVA back in January.
