MARSHALL COUNTY, Ind. (WNDU) A woman had to be airlifted after a farming accident in Marshall County on Tuesday.

It happened at a corn field south of 12447 Peach Rd.

Police were called after 54-year-old Laurie Hayn got caught in a combine. She was still conscious and responsive, police say.

Plymouth firefighters and paramedics were able to extricated Hayn from the combine, and she was flown to an area hospital.

Hayn said she went into an area of the corn field where she thought 58-year-old Ronald Hayn was not going to be, since he had just gone through that section.

There's no word on the extent of Laurie Hayn's injuries.
