(WYMT) - Officials with World Wrestling Entertainment have confirmed that WWE Hall of Famer "Mean" Gene Okerlund has died at the age of 76.
The WWE called Okerlund the most recognizable interviewer in sports entertainment history.
In a story posted on the website, officials say in 1984, Okerlund made the move to WWE where he became a staple on national cable television by interviewing the biggest names in wrestling like Hulk Hogan, “Macho Man” Randy Savage, The Ultimate Warrior and many more.
There's no word on his cause of death.
