Volunteers flock to Benton Harbor for 77th Senior PGA Championship

The 77th Senior PGA Championship will tee off next month at Harbor Shores in Benton Harbor.

Starting Friday, nearly 2,000 volunteers who will work the event, flocked to the city.

Saint Joseph High School was their destination to pick up uniforms and credentials.

Volunteers play a huge role in getting the tournament off without a hitch, including moving players and caddies, working score boards, and acting as marshals on the course.

Senior PGA Championship Director Ryan Ogle says, “Back for the third time, very happy about the turn out, says something about this community, southwest Michigan, northwest Indiana.”

The 77th senior PGA championship presented by Kitchen-Aid begins May 24.
