Food from local restaurants, cooking demonstrations, activities for the kids and much more.

It's all happening Sunday at the Century Center for the 2nd annual Michiana VegFest.

Tickets are free, and dozens of vendors will be passing out free samples and gifts.

Local businesses will be at the event, including South Bend Brew Werks who will be passing out samples of Mango Wheat, Purple Porch Co-op and many more.

You’ll also be able to listen to live music, poetry and learn all about plant-based resources found here in Michiana.

Event organizers say they're expecting a large turnout, and they're encouraging everyone to come early.

“Although Mayor Pete’s going to be downtown, we welcome everyone who goes to see Mayor Pete to come on over and enjoy VegFest,” said VegFest Co-Chair Kelly Hofferth. "No issue with parking, closing the roads will not affect in any way anybody getting into Century Center."

Parking at the Century Center is $5, and VegFest starts at 11 a.m. and goes until 4 p.m. with some live music immediately following the event.
