BERRIEN COUNTY, Mich. (WNDU) - The trial for a Niles Township man accused of killing his wife is expected to start Tuesday.
John Lewis is charged with murder in the Aug. 2017 death of his wife, Carla. Lewis told police he and his wife were tending to marijuana plants when two men broke into their home and shot her.
However, prosecutors say Lewis killed his wife after he found out she was planning to leave him.
The Niles Daily Star reports his trial will start at 8:30 a.m.
