SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) - A trial date has been set for one of two suspects accused in a deadly hit-and-run in South Bend.
Carlos Williams, 22, along with 19-year-old Ashlee Nicely, is accused of hitting and killing a bicyclist on Brick Road last October. The couple allegedly took off, and the victim died at the scene.
Both Williams and Nicely have pleaded not guilty.
In court Wednesday, Williams' jury trial was set for May 28. He will be back in court for a pretrial conference on May 14.
