SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) “Together for the Long Run” is an event Saturday evening focusing on breaking down barriers.
This is a track meet where people with mental, intellectual or physical disabilities get a chance to run with abled high school students. Unified track teams are coming from all over Michiana. That includes, Michigan City, Elkhart Memorial, Wawasee, Laville and more.
Along with the Unified Teams, there will be Special Olympics and South Bend Community School participants.

If you’re interested in attending, doors open at 5 p.m. “Together for the Long Run” will be held at Leighton Stadium at St. Joseph High School in South Bend. The main events start at 6 p.m.
