Three arrested after guns, drugs seized from Michigan City home

Friday morning, the Michigan City S.W.A.T. team searched a home near the 600 block of Main Street in Michigan City. Five people were found in the residence, two of which had outstanding warrants for their arrest.

Police searched the house and found several weapons, one of which was reported stolen, illegal drugs, and drug paraphernalia.

According to a press release from the La Porte County Drug Task Force, many citizen complaints were fielded in reference to the suspected drug activity in the house over the past several months.

Criminal charges were filed against Ashlie Eddy, 35, of Michigan City, for Dealing Methamphetamine. Also arrested were Tabitha Thompson, 26, of Michigan City, on a warrant for Burglary, and Daniel Isenbletter, 27, of New Buffalo, on warrants for Burglary, Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of a Syringe.

Eddy, Thompson, and Isenbletter are being held at the La Porte County Jail awaiting their initial court dates. Eddy is being held on a $25,000 cash only bond and is scheduled to appear in a La Porte County Superior Court on Tuesday March 19th, 2019 at 9:00 a.m.
