Owners of a Mexican restaurant in South Bend are upset after being ripped off over the weekend.

Fiesta Cancun has an alarm and a surveillance system, two of their cameras captured the thief.

The thief showed up around 4:30 a.m. Sunday.

Owners say he broke in through a wall in the dining area, not the front door, and brought tools as he went for the office and started trying to crack open the safe.

The thief spent nearly an hour inside, then walks out, moves a table and crawls back out the window.

“We weren't expecting it at all. We thought everything was safe, secure. But, there's always that somebody, right? So, we never know,” manager Fernando Hernandez said.

Hernandez says the thief knew his way around the inside of the restaurant. A description is difficult, since the man was covered from head to toe, with his face concealed with a ski mask.

They shared the surveillance video, Hernandez says police took some fingerprints and pictures, hoping to get a better idea of who did this.

But if anybody has helpful info, they're asked to call South Bend police.
