Teen recovering after accidental shooting in Goshen

GOSHEN, Ind. (WNDU) - A 15-year-old boy is in a South Bend hospital after he was accidentally shot by another teen in Goshen.

At about 7:27 p.m. Saturday, officers were called to a home in the 2200 block of Edward Drive for the report of a shooting.

Officers found a 15-year-old boy who was shot in the stomach. He was airlifted to a South Bend hospital, where he was immediately taken into surgery. The boy is currently recovering.

Police believe two 15-year-olds were handling a gun, when one of the teens accidentally shot the other.

The incident remains under investigation.
