South Bend is welcoming its first food truck to town Friday morning.
Called "The Grateful Green," the truck will serve healthy and vegan options for breakfast and lunch, plus a blend of juices and smoothies.
To make healthy food affordable, all menu items will cost $8 or less.
“My whole idea was to kind of make a fast food version, but have it healthy food, so you can grab your breakfast on the go, or your lunch on the go but you could have a healthy choice, or you could have your normal choice as well,” said Jessie Miles, food truck owner.
To celebrate its opening weekend, the first 20 customers will get a 20 percent off coupon. Plus tee-shirts will be given away at random.
