Michigan St. detour through Niles Ave. closed due to sinkhole

Drivers are detouring the Niles Avenue detour after a sink hole collapsed part of the road Wednesday night.

Crews were working to repair the hole Thursday near the new dog park.

Niles Avenue is a popular way to get around the blocked off Michigan Street.

That's because it's the first thoroughfare due east of Michigan.

City officials say the patching should take about 24 hours.
