School City of Mishawaka support staff to see pay increases

MISHAWAKA, Ind. (WNDU) - The School City of Mishawaka Board of Trustees on Wednesday approved pay raises for support staff.

The school board voted unanimously to raise pay by an average of 3.5 percent for hundreds of staff members. They include secretaries, bus drivers and food service workers.

They also voted to increase substitute teacher pay rates from $75 to $80 per day and $90 to $100 for retired teachers.

Substitute teachers will also receive a $300 bonus each time they sub for 30 days.
