UPDATE: Missing man from Clinton found safe

A missing Vermillion County man has been found safe, police confirmed late Friday night.

According to the Vermillion County Sheriff's Office, 61-year-old Gary Fitch was found safe before 11:55 p.m. Friday.


A Silver Alert has been declared for a missing man from western Indiana.

The Vermillion County Sheriff’s Office says 61-year-old Gary Fitch was last seen Thursday at 6:30 p.m. in Clinton.

He is believed to be in extreme danger and may need medical help.

Fitch is described as a white male, 5 feet 8 inches tall, 180 pounds and has white hair and blue eyes.

The man was last seen wearing a black t-shirt and khaki jeans and was driving a black 2011 Chevrolet Malibu with Tennessee plate 570DD06.
