SF Motors unveils new smart cars to be made at Mishawaka plant

MISHAWAKA, Ind. (WNDU) - A Mishawaka plant that once produced the Hummers of the past will now produce the electric cars of the future.

SF Motors bought the former AM General plant last year.

Wednesday night, the smart car company unveiled what it believes to be the next generation of intelligent, safe and connected electrical vehicles at its headquarters in Santa Clara, California.

SF Motors plans to produce the electric, self-driving smart cars in the Princess City.

In a press release last November, the company said the first car from FS Motors will be made in the Hooiser state.
