SBPD investigating after shots fired at car on west side

SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) - South Bend police are investigating after shots were fired on the west side Sunday night, reportedly hitting a car and resulting in minor injuries to one teenager.

It happened around 5:06 p.m. Sunday in the 4800 block of Belleville Circle. When police arrived, they found a vehicle damaged by gunfire.

A 19-year-old sitting in the passenger seat was hurt, reportedly received a minor bruise to the leg. The victim and two other people were in the parked car when the shots were fired, but neither of the other two in the vehicle were hurt.
