SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) - Members of the South Bend Rotary Club got to meet a president – the Rotary International president, that is.

2018-2019 President Barry Rassin visited Century Center Friday afternoon.

A Rotarian since 1980, Bassin is a member in East Nassau, New Providence, the Bahamas, and has served as director and vice chair of the Rotary's board of trustees.

Rassin volunteered in relief efforts after the 2010 earthquake in Haiti and even received the Rotary's highest honor, the Service Above Self award.

Rotary International is in more than 200 countries and boasts 1.2 million members.
