About 3,000 people were affected by a power outage in Granger Friday morning, including St. Pius X Catholic School, which had to delay classes. Some traffic lights in Granger were also affected.

According to Indiana Michigan Power, the outage was caused by an equipment malfunction at a substation.

Power went out at about 6:45 a.m. and came back on for all customers at around 9:15 a.m., a spokesperson told WNDU.
