Portillo's to offer heart-shaped cakes for good cause around Valentine's Day
Portillo's has announced it will be making heart-shaped cakes for Valentine's Day, and it is all for a good cause.
The heart-shaped chocolate cake will cost $15.99 for a limited time around the holiday, and the Cakes for a Cause initiative is done in partnership with the American Red Cross. A portion of the proceeds from the heart-shaped cakes, up to $25,000, will be donated to the relief organization.
The cakes will be available in stores from Feb. 8-17. People interested in getting their hands on one of the cakes are encouraged to pre-order at
or by calling 866-YUM-BEEF.
“Portillo’s is proud to be a longtime supporter of the American Red Cross and its charitable giving efforts,” Portillo’s CEO Michael Osanloo said in a release. “As Valentine’s Day approaches, we couldn’t think of a better way to bring back this sweet tradition and celebrate the holiday.”
