UPDATE: 13-year-old boy hurt in shooting on SB's southeast side

SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) – Police in South Bend are investigating after a 13-year-old boy was shot on the city's southeast side Thursday evening.

The boy suffered a wound to the hand.

The shooting happened in the 1200 block of East Donald Street, according to a tweet from the South Bend Police Department.

Police were first dispatched at 7:20 p.m.

Investigators say the shots came from a dark vehicle that left the scene.
