MISHAWAKA, Ind. (WNDU) - A man has been charged after allegedly admitting to stabbing his mom at a Mishawaka home.
Mishawaka police were called to the 700 block of East Fourth Street late Monday night.
Officers spoke with the victim, who was covered in blood and had multiple cuts to her left arm and her chest. She told police that her son, 24-year-old Raymond McClorrine II, was the person who stabbed her.
Police located McClorrine with the help of a K-9.
According to a Mishawaka detective, McClorrine admitted to stabbing his mom and told police where in the home he left the knife he had used.
Police say he didn't have a coherent reason for the attack, and neither did his mom.
McClorrine has been charged with battery by means of a deadly weapon, a level 5 felony. Probable cause was found, and McClorrine was ordered held until his initial bail hearing, which is scheduled for Aug. 7 at 1 p.m.
