Police investigate shooting on South Bend's west side

SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) - South Bend police are investigating an overnight shooting on the city’s west side.

Around 1:15 Monday morning, several calls were made to police about a shooting in the 400 block of South Wellington Street, near Western Avenue.

When officers arrived, they located two 23-year-old male victims with wounds to their upper bodies.

Police believe the victims were injured after someone fired shots toward the home.

They were taken to the hospital for injuries that are not considered life-threatening.
