Police identify 2 dead after possible murder-suicide

Police have identified the two people who were found dead in St. Joseph County after a possible murder-suicide Thursday morning.

It happened in the 16000 block of Valley Trail near Mishawaka.

The St. Joseph County Police Department initially tweeted the information just after 7 a.m. Thursday.

Around 12:40 a.m. Thursday, St. Joseph County Police Department officers responded to the area on a report of an assault in progress.

Upon arrival, the officers discovered two men who were dead as a result of apparent gunshot wound injuries.

According to a tweet, police also found multiple firearms.

Investigators are not searching for any suspects, and no arrests have been made.

The victims have been identified as Brent Gregory, a 43-year-old who lived at the Valley Trail home, and Kenneth Hunt, a 43-year-old from Niles.

The St. Joseph County Metro Homicide Unit is handling the investigation.

Autopsies have been scheduled for Friday in Fort Wayne.
