Firefighters battled a large pole barn blaze Sunday night in Osceola.

Crews were called out to the 300-block of South Beech Rd. just before 10:30 p.m. The building is owned by House of Bounce Party Rentals. They tell us the pole barn was used to store supplies like generators and inflatables, and they lost some equipment in the fire.

Owner Greg Laskowski says he and some of the workers had returned from picking up rentals, unloaded and went in to eat. When they came back out - they noticed smoke coming out by the overhead door of the pole barn.

Laskowski says the fire puts a damper on the start of their busy season.

"This time of year's our busiest time of year because of end of year school stuff coming up, we do a lot of stuff for the Penn schools, South Bend schools and then as the weather gets warmer backyard birthdays,” Laskowski said. “This is when we make it; we're about a six month a year business."

No one was hurt. House of Bounce Party Rentals has been in business for about 9 years; and they say they won't have trouble 'bouncing back' because they still have plenty of equipment to keep going.

"We got an indoor location, we might have to swap some equipment over there. The stuff that's on my trailers primarily is the big stuff that goes to schools," Laskowski said. "I'm missing some things that we're going to have to get here and get here in a hurry but I got great distributors and they'll get it done for me and we'll keep going."

A cause for the fire remains unknown.
