Pedestrian hit by car, airlifted to hospital

KOSCIUSKO COUNTY, Ind. (WNDU) A pedestrian was airlifted after he was hit by a car Wednesday in Kosciusko County.

It happened around 1:30 p.m. on County Road 300 E, south of Defreese Road.

Investigators say Nathan Nibert, a 32-year-old from Warsaw, was driving a 2006 Pontiac southbound on CR 300 E.

Two males were walking southbound on the west side of the road.

James Roder, a 33-year-old from Warsaw, was walking on the roadway when he was hit by the Pontiac. He was airlifted to Fort Wayne with chest injuries.

This crash remains under investigation.
