MISHAWAKA, Ind. (WNDU) A manufacturing facility in Mishawaka is closing and moving its production to Illinois.
Parker Hannifin's Electronic Controls Division is located on Twin Branch Drive.
They employ about 94 people and make sensors for use in controllers for mobile equipment such as construction or agricultural machinery.
"Current volume levels in the business can no longer support the existing manufacturing capacity across the divisions manufacturing locations," Parker Hannifin said in a media release. "The plan to close the Mishawaka operation in no way reflects the performance of our dedicated team members there."
On Thursday, the company said they will begin the transfer process immediately and expect to be fully moved by the end of June next year.
