One person dead and another in serious condition after crash near Leesburg
A 70-year-old Warsaw man died after a two-vehicle car crash just east of Leesburg on Monday.
Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department Deputies responded to the intersection of CR 700 N and CR 200 E at 12:34 p.m. after receiving a call about the crash involving an individual being ejected onto the road.
David E. Holbrook, 70, of Warsaw was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the second vehicle, 74-year-old Wayne L. Sholtey of Syracuse, was airlifted to a Ft. Wayne hospital in serious condition.
A preliminary investigation determined that Holbrook was traveling south on CR 200 E and failed to stop at the intersection of CR 700 N.
His Ford pickup truck struck the passenger's side of Sholtey's truck, causing it to roll over and rest on its side.
