Notre Dame Shakespeare Festival presents 'The Tempest'

William Shakespeare's The Tempest presented by the Notre Dame Shakespeare Festival (NDSF). During August 16 through August 28 their stage will come alive with wind illusions and aerial acrobatics to deliver a show unlike any other.

According to their director, Cirque du Soleil's West Hyler,"The Tempest" shines as one of Shakespeare's most magical and generous plays. The shipwrecked magician living on a deserted island with his daughter thrills with spectacular possibilities.

Alan Sader who stars as Gonzalo has appeared in hundreds of plays, dozens of films and TV shows. He was also a theatre owner for about 15 years and produced or directed another 100 or so plays.

If you want to catch a performance of "The Tempest", there are performances Saturday at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

The play will run at the Patricia George Decio Theatre in the Debartolo Performing Arts Center until August 28th. Tickets range from $12-85.
