New Carlisle plant unveil a replica of USS Indiana submarine
Employees at a New Carlisle steel plant got to see one of the finished products they worked on Friday.
Workers and family members stopped by to get a look at a replica of the USS Indiana.
Employees at the plant helped supply the welding wire for welding plates together on the submarine.
The USS Indiana was launched in June of 2017 and is set to be commissioned in September.
Employees at I-N Tek say it's great to see something they had a role in creating.
"We like to involve the family members and the community so they know what we do out here that's the whole point of this to show hey we don't just produce something out here." Rick Krantz said. "We produce something that's interesting, exciting and useful for people around the nation."
The model was also on display at the New Carlisle American Legion Friday evening.
