Ayden Elijah Adee
Twelve-year-old Ayden Elijah Adee has been found dead after he was reported missing near Warsaw.
His body was located just after noon Friday about a quarter-mile from his home.
Police have not said how the boy died, but they did acknowledge Thursday that he may have had a .40-caliber handgun.
The Kosciusko County Sheriff's Office said Friday there was no indication that foul play was involved in the Whitko Community School Corporation student's death.
Officers used drones, dogs and ATVs in their search for the boy. Multiple agencies searched the Sellers Lake area throughout the day Thursday.
They found the boy's body Friday in a heavily wooded area near the intersection of CR 350 E and CR 500 S, near his home.
"Early this morning, representatives from our staff established a search pattern and a grid. They went down to the area where he was last seen. They began to search. At around 12:15 this afternoon, they did locate Ayden's body," Kosciusko County Sheriff's Office public information officer Sgt. Chris Francis said.
More than 50 volunteers came out to search for Ayden, joining the many police officers, firefighters and American Red Cross personnel.
