OSCEOLA, Ind. (WNDU) - Family and friends said their final goodbyes Monday as 17-year-old Breana Rouhselang was laid to rest. The funeral took place at New Life Baptist Church in Osceola.

Rouhselang was a cheerleader and softball player at Mishawaka High School. She was found stabbed to death last Sunday inside a dumpster behind a restaurant. She was six months pregnant.

The father of her child, 16-year-old Aaron Trejo, has been charged with her murder.

NewsCenter 16 was asked to not attend Rouhselang's funeral, and we respected the wishes of her family during this incredibly difficult time.

Mishawaka school officials say approximately 850 people attended.

They also say she was laid to rest in a plot donated by the family of Mishawaka Police Lt. Tim Williams, who was Roushelang's D.A.R.E. officer.
