Some local entrepreneurs met with business leaders to get support on their start-up companies.
Startup South Bend-Elkhart gives people free business help by connecting them with leaders in our region.
In Tuesday's session – called "Needs and Leads" – six entrepreneurs were able to pitch their ideas and discuss where they need help.
Board member Susan Ford said Michiana is a great place to invest right now.
"I am a huge believer in everything that is going on in our region right now, and this is a perfect example of where I think the network that I have, the connections that I have, can be helpful to the next generation, and so we need more people coming in and deciding that this is a place where you can make something be really successful, and I'm a huge believer in that," Ford said.
Organizers said they hold events like this every month.
