UPDATE: Victim ID'd in shooting at Indian Springs; Metro Homicide investigates

SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) – One man is dead after a Friday night shooting at Indian Springs Apartments in South Bend.

St. Joseph County authorities identified the victim as Isaiah Durham, 33. An autopsy is set for Monday, June 10, in Ft. Wayne.

The call came in around 7:53 p.m., dispatch confirmed. The shooting happened in the 2700 block of West Buckskin Lane.

The person who called the incident in to dispatch reportedly said they heard one shot fired. It was not immediately clear how many shots actually were fired.

"When they arrived, they did find one individual who had been shot and was deceased," Metro Homicide Cmdr. Mike Grzegorek said. "Medics were called, and he was pronounced deceased here at the scene. You have some leads that were following up; we have some people that were talking to. Early investigation, but we do have one person that is deceased a male."

A vehicle was seen leaving the scene around the time of the shooting. Police did not make a vehicle description or a description of a potential suspect or suspects available.
