Man dies after falling into Kosciusko County well

A man is dead after falling into a Kosciusko County well.

It happened at his home on the Barbee Chain of Lakes in Warsaw.

According to the police investigation, 84-year-old Maurice Terry was cleaning out a well pit on his property. His wife found him submerged in the well and flagged down a passerby who called 911.

Multiple emergency crews responded, and they were able to recover Terry from the well.

Indiana Conservation Officers are investigating this as a possible drowning. At this time, they say it appears to be accidental.
