Man arrested after father dies under suspicious circumstances

A Michigan City man has been arrested for dealing in a controlled substance after his father died under suspicious circumstances.

On Jan. 24, Larry Wozniak died at a home in the 6000 north block of CR 400 West, in rural Springfield Township.

On Jan. 31, family members contacted police and told them that Wozniak had died under suspicious circumstances that may have been drug related.

Police investigated, and 26-year-old Joshua Wozniak was identified as having a direct role in the death of his father.

Joshua Wozniak was arrested for dealing in a controlled substance resulting in death, a level 1 felony. He was already in custody for unrelated criminal charges and remains housed in the La Porte County Jail without a bond.
