Michigan State Police say they're still investigating accusations that a former school treasurer embezzled $229,000.

Village Seventh-Day Adventist School in Berrien Springs sent a letter to families saying it became aware of the alleged fraud over the summer, when a routing audit was on the horizon.

MSP say they opened the investigation in September. They aren't releasing the name of the former treasurer just yet.

MSP expect to wrap up the investigation in December and send the findings to the Berrien County Prosecutor for possible charges.
