Man sentenced to 16 ½ years for murder of St. Joseph Co. woman in Minnesota
Daniel Lynn was sentenced Monday to 16 ½ years in prison for second-degree murder in the death of 28-year-old Christina Woods.
, and her
on a property in Minnesota that belonged to a relative of Lynn's.
NewsCenter 16's Lindsay Stone spoke with Woods' mother, Mary Robinson, moments after the sentencing was announced.
"I think he deserves more. I think he deserved more time," Robinson said. "Just still comprehending everything. He wouldn't look at us, he wouldn't speak at the hearing."
Lynn did, however, write a letter to Woods' family that he did not want to read in court.
Robinson read a letter addressed to Lynn during the sentencing Monday. It read, in part, "Christina and her children were cheated out of their future together. Because of Christina's murder, her children have been torn apart."
