Lottery fever continues to spread across Michiana in anticipation of Tuesday night's Mega Millions drawing.
The Mega Millions jackpot is currently at a record $1.6 billion.
Meanwhile, the Powerball jackpot has also climbed to an estimated $620 million for Wednesday night's drawing, making it the fifth-largest jackpot in U.S. history.
With the lottery jackpots being so high, convenience store owners say people are buying tickets left and right.
"Normally, we'll hit $1,000 a day, but we're hitting sometimes $5,000 a day in lottery purchases, both for the Powerball and the Mega Millions. And scratch-offs are up also," says Bill Stoler, owner of Phillips 66 in Roseland.
