South Bend wine bar offering Valentine's Day treats

SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) - 'Tis the season of love. Flowers, chocolate and gifts to make your valentine smile. But for those looking to add a romantic and delicious touch, Ironhand Wine Bar is the place.

Ironhand is unlike anything else offered in the area.

"We're the only commercial estate vineyard in South Bend, we have 5 acres," said Laura Morris, director of operations. "We do serve wines outside of our estate solely from our vineyard, which is really unique. People love that there's a vineyard in South Bend and that they don't have to drive into southwest Michigan to experience."

They're serving up a unique Valentine's Day special throughout this week.

"We're doing wine and chocolate pairings, with Violet Sky Chocolate," Morris said. "We have three red wines paired with three of Han's Chocolates."

The pairing board is $13 a person and you can enjoy it while you sit back and listen to live music.

"On Valentine's Day, it kicks off our wine and chocolate pairings, and then we have a string duo from the South Bend Symphony Orchestra," Morris said. "Then, we have an opera singer Friday from the South Bend Lyric Opera, and on Sunday, we have music by Lucas Minor."

Whether you're celebrating Galentine's Day with your girlfriends or enjoying a romantic date night with your significant other, Ironhand Wine Bar is the perfect setting to enjoy the holiday with the people you love.
