MARSHALL COUNTY, Ind. (WNDU) - In Marshall County, a man is in jail for operating a vehicle under the influence of a controlled substance.
Police pulled over a white Ford van Friday morning around 1 in the area of Michigan Road and U.S. 31.
Officers detected the odor of marijuana and say the driver, 39-year-old Daryl Bannon, of Indianapolis, showed signs of impairment.
Police found 2.9 grams of marijuana and many paraphernalia items after searching the van.
Bannon was taken to the hospital, where a certified test showed marijuana in his system.
In addition to operating while intoxicated, he's been charged with possession of marijuana and paraphernalia.
