The latest poll for Tuesday's primary shows Donald Trump with a significant lead in Indiana, but the race on the Democratic side is a bit closer.

The

of likely Republican voters in Indiana found that 49 percent chose Trump, 34 percent are backing Texas Senator Ted Cruz, and 13 percent are behind Ohio Governor John Kasich, who hasn't campaigned in Indiana.

Things are tighter on the Democratic side of the NBC News/Wall Street Journal/Marist poll.

Former Secretary Clinton has 50 percent of likely Democratic voters in Indiana, and Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders has 46 percent, but that four-point gap is within the poll's margin for error, making it a virtual tie.

Indiana voters go to the polls on Tuesday, May 3.
